A visit to Kapawi is a unique experience. This lodge is located deep in the Amazon forest, near the Peruvian border. You can only get here with a small private plane that lands on a sandy slope in the forest. The nearest village is a 2-week walk. This is without a doubt one of the best places in Latin America to get to know the Amazon forest. The lodge is managed by the local Achuar community and was completely renovated in 2019. Although the lodge is built exclusively from local materials (not a single nail has been used), you can enjoy all the luxury and comfort here. The lodge has 18 cabins, 1 junior suite and 1 master suite. Included: all meals, jungle trips, canoe trips and visits to the villages.
