During this city tour (partly by private transport and partly on foot) an English-speaking guide will lead you along the most beautiful places in the city. You will visit the famous Parque Bolivar (where the iguanas are basking in the trees), the beautiful Malecon 2000 river embankment and La Rotonda with the statues of Bolivar and San Martin. You will visit the colonial neighborhood of Las Peñas with its wooden houses, many of which have become famous art galleries. From Fort Santa Ana you get a nice view over the city and the Guayas river. After the city tour you will visit the Historical Park, where you will get a look at the history of Guayaquil with its cultures, traditions and architecture. The park is located 30 minutes from Guayaquil.
I am Tom and I am from Belgium. I’ve lived in Ecuador for a decade and I’ve been working in tourism for 8 years. Therefore I obtained my tourism diploma in Ecuador. Traveling and discovering new places is my passion. Currently I live in Guamote, a small village between Riobamba and Alausi. Together with the local travel agency Descubre-Ecuador, we offer tailor-made tours in Galapagos and on the Ecuadorian mainland.
