In Puerto Hondo (18 km from the city) you can admire the vegetation of the mangroves up close by canoe or motor boat.
In Cerro Blanco there is a dry forest with three hiking trails. Here you will find beautiful landscapes. With a little luck you will find macaws.
A program is running in the park to protect the caiman that was almost extinct. He is also a symbol for this park.
You can visit the path as a day trip from Guayaquíl.
