Yacuma Lodge was created in 1995 from a collaboration between the local Quichua community of Chontayacu and an Ecuadorian hotel group. In this way, the community wants to offer sustainable tourism in which both nature and culture are central and which also enables them to make economic progress. The lodge is about a two hour drive from Tena after which a 30 min canoe trip follows. The lodge has a total of 24 rooms divided over 12 cabins.
