GALAPAGOS ISLANDS
Rabida

Rabida

SURFACE:
1 235 acres

HIGHEST POINT:
1 203 ft (367 meter)

The landing in Rabida takes place on a dark red coral beach that is occupied by a few hundred sea lions. You can swim and snorkel with it and especially the little ones are very curious. Pelicans also nest here.
The path (1.1 km) leads to a saltwater lake where you can sometimes encounter flamingos. There is a colony of single sea lions that regains their strength here and then throws itself back into the battle for territory and the female sea lions.
A little further you reach a dry zone where palo santo and disc cacti grow. The diversity of volcanic rocks here is the largest in the entire archipelago.
You have very good snorkeling spots where you can view a large variety of tropical fish.
