This park is located in the water basin of the Gulf of Guayaquil, 7 km southeast of the city along the busy road to Salinas on the coast.
In Puerto Hondo (18 km from the city) you can admire the vegetation of the mangroves up close by canoe or motor boat.
In Cerro Blanco there is a dry forest with three hiking trails. Here you will find beautiful landscapes. With a little luck you will find macaws.
A program is running in the park to protect the caiman that was almost extinct. He is also a symbol for this park.
You can visit the path as a day trip from Guayaquíl.
